Just before the Holidays, I got together with my good friend Jorge Castro to take a few editorial photos for the launch of his new company and website around the Capitol building in Washington, DC. Jorge has nearly a decade of high-level government experience working on domestic and international tax issues at the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Congress and recently decided to go at it on his own as an independent consultant.
A very special engagement shoot with Phil and Nicole.
My last wedding of 2013.
I am happy that I could end it with Chris and Joanna, who are good friends of mine. Chris and I went to the University of Maryland College Park and were roommates our senior year. We quickly grew close with our love of movies, video games and abstract pop culture, freestyle walking! After meeting Joanna, I knew she was the gal for him. After becoming engaged, I was excited to hear that they wanted me as their wedding photographer.
Chris and Joanna organized an awesome wedding by themselves. They held their ceremony at the Granite Prospect in Brooklyn Bridge Park and their reception at Studio 450.
Chris and Joanna had this great idea to have all their friends write them a note, take couple Instax photos and then seal the box together, only to be opened in 10 years.
Being the modern couple, they updated their Facebook statuses immediately after their vows.
Chris and Joanna’s first dance, underneath Penn Station.
Performing their own version of the Evolution of Dance, which was a smash hit.
A big thanks goes out to Chris and Joanna. I love you guys and look forward to our continued friendship and your new lives together.
