Tim and Cait

It has been a while, and I’m stoked to bring another uniformed wedding to the blog!

Tim and Cait were married in August in beautiful Upstate NY. It was my first time traveling through the Rochester area and I was really taken aback by the beautiful scenery of Hammondsport, Bath and Avoca.

These two met while attending SUNY Brockport and I had the privilege of making friends with Tim while I attended DINFOS. I was very impressed with the time and effort Tim and Cait put into planning their wedding and I had an awesome time hanging out with their family and friends over the weekend.

This was way cool; Tim and Cait booked rooms for their wedding party at the Caboose Motel. I’m a HUGE sucker for stuff like this!

Believe it or not, this troop of Marines was all smiles and I even managed to crack the “Iceman,” Tim, a couple of times.

I absolutely love this shot in front of a P-40 Warhawk at the Glen Curtis Aviation Museum.

The theme of Tim and Cait’s wedding was “the 20’s” and they had a number of great little details placed around their reception.

A BIG THANKS goes out to Tim and Cait for flying me out to shoot their wedding. I had an awesome time hanging out with your family and friends for the weekend and I wish you two all the best!

Here are a few choice grabs from their big day.

Mike and Mindy

Would you believe that two people paid to fly me down to Aruba to shoot their destination wedding? I still can’t, but I sure am glad to have friends like Mike and Mindy.

The three of us went to college together, and I became pals with Mike in 1999 (yikes!) after we discovered a shared affinity for automobiles. The two of them reached out to me in February while I was still at DINFOS, and the rest is history.

Mike and Mindy held their destination wedding at the Riu Palace, which was an awesome venue to host their family and close friends for the week. Bonus: they flew Amy down as a second shooter and my honored guest!

PS- Yes, I did climb up into that cabana to bolt a strobe on to one of the umbrella ribs.

Kudos to Mike for keeping it a secret that his father, Frank, was going to officiate the wedding. Very nice touch my friend.

Since the wedding had fewer guests than a State-side event, we decided to set up a small portrait booth after dinner. Let’s just say that this was one of the most G-Rated photos I could find out of this bunch of characters…

A BIG THANKS goes out to Mike and Mindy for flying me and Amy down to Aruba to shoot their amazing destination wedding. We had a blast, and would do it over again in a heartbeat!

AND, this is only one of four galleries, so stay tuned!
